Valley
of the Gods is like Monument Valley on a much smaller scale. It
consists of various Sandstone Monoliths, fins, and spires.
Many visitors come simply to see and photograph the formations, which are located in Southeastern Utah at the base of Cedar Mesa.
The Moki Dugway road drops 1,200 ft. to the floor of the Valley
of the Gods.
The
Valley of the Gods has an unpaved road that traverses it.
This makes it easier for visitors to come and see and photograph
the rock spires, and sandstone monoliths that call the Valley
of the Gods home.
Location: Southern Utah, approx. 10 miles north of Mexican Hat on Highway
261.
