Newspaper Rock
.
Newspaper Rock is located in Southeastern Utah on a cliff face just north of Highway 211 east of US191. This same road also continues on into the Needles section of Canyonlands National Park.

The petroglyphs were created over a large span of time and represent several different cultures. These include Fremont, Ute, Paiute, and Anasazi. There are literally hundreds of the petroglyphs on the rock wall, and they date from 1,500+ years ago to 200 or so years ago.

Location: Approx. 19-20 miles west of the Highway 211 and Highway 191 junction.
